Delete your Dreamers Hub account

App: Dreamers Hub (iPhone and Android)
Developer: John Adam Spiers (shown as John Spiers on the App Store)
Contact: care@thedreamershub.sg

You can delete your Dreamers Hub account at any time. Deletion is permanent. We cannot undo it. You do not need the app to ask for it.

Option 1: Delete it in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Dreamers Hub and sign in.
  2. Open the You tab and tap the settings button at the top (screen readers call it Account and settings).
  3. Open Account and data.
  4. Choose Review account deletion. Read what will be removed and what will stay.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete my account.
  6. The app confirms the deletion, clears your drafts from that phone, and signs you out.

If the connection drops partway, the app keeps your request and lets you check its status or retry the same request after you sign in again. It will not create a second request.

Option 2: Ask us to delete it (no app needed)

Use this if you no longer have the app, cannot sign in, or lost your phone.

  1. Email care@thedreamershub.sg from the email address on your account. Use the subject “Delete my Dreamers Hub account”.
  2. To confirm the account is yours, we email a confirmation code to your account address. Reply with that code. It is not an app sign-in code: never send us a code from the app’s sign-in screen. We will never ask for a password, because there is none.
  3. We delete the account and reply to confirm, within 30 days of your request.

If you write from a different email address, we may not be able to find or verify the account.

Website journal. If you also keep a journal on this website (thedreamershub.sg), sign in and use “delete my account” on the You page, or email us the same way (from the address on that account). We will delete that account too, and tell you when it is done, within 30 days.

  • Visit requests you made or received

    What happens: Deleted

    What happens: Deleted

  • Discover preferences

  • Drafts and saved previews on the phone where you deleted

What happens: Cleared by the app

What is changed or kept, and for how long

  • Clubs and hangouts you hosted

What happens: Stay as canceled records. Your name, picture and the details you wrote are removed.

How long: Kept as canceled records. They no longer hold your personal data.

  • Your messages in group chats

What happens: Replaced with “Message removed after account deletion.” Other people’s messages stay.

    How long: Kept

  • Reports you made or that mention you, with the captured content (which can include a street line, a house front or greeting messages as they were reported)

What happens: Kept for safety review. Your name on a report you made is replaced with “Former member”.

How long: While the case is open, and 2 years after it is closed (a case is closed once we have decided it and every action we took in it has ended, for example when removed content is restored or erased, or a project we stopped from being shared is released), or longer if the law, a court or an authority requires it. Suspected child sexual abuse material is kept only until it is reported to the police, then as the police instruct.

  • Removed-content safety records

What happens: The saved original text of anything of yours a reviewer removed is erased when your account is deleted.

    How long: Erased at deletion

  • Deletion receipt (an account ID, a code proving the request, and the time)

What happens: Kept so we can confirm the deletion if asked. It holds no profile content.

    How long: 2 years

  • Backups held by our hosting provider

What happens: Not cleared on demand. Deleted data leaves backups on the provider’s schedule.

How long: On the provider’s backup schedule

  • Emails you sent us, including a deletion request

What happens: Kept so we can handle follow-ups

How long: Deleted within 1 year after the last message

  • Technical logs held by our providers (for example IP addresses)

What happens: Kept for security and troubleshooting

How long: 30 to 90 days, depending on the provider

  • Drafts on other devices

What happens: Not reached by this action. Sign out and delete the app there.

How long: Until you remove them

We do not use any of the kept data for advertising.

Before you delete

  • Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Use one of the options above.
  • If you only want to hide something, you can unshare a project, turn off “Show on my profile”, remove a map listing, or take your house off the street without deleting your account.
  • You cannot reverse this. If you sign in later with the same email, you start with a new empty account.
